Live or Work in Salinas? Government May Soon Provide Your Electricity!
Learn About Your Potential New Power Provider at a Salinas Taxpayers Association Morning Meeting on August 5, 2016
Few people in Salinas know that local elected officials in Santa Cruz County are forming a tri-county regional government called Monterey Bay Community Power.
If the Salinas City Council chooses to join, you’ll get your electricity from a regional government unless you choose to keep Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E).
Organizations such as the Sierra Club and the Monterey Bay Central Labor Council are already lobbying for their vision of how this agency shall operate.
- What does Monterey Bay Community Power mean for your electric bills?
- Where and how will your electricity be generated?
- Will Santa Cruz politicians decide how you get your electricity in Salinas?
Suggested Donation of $5.00. Please contact Kevin Dayton at info@salinastaxpayers.org with questions or to RSVP.
