Four times a year, the Citizens Oversight Committee for Measure E and the Citizens Oversight Committee for Measure G meet to review how the City of Salinas is spending its revenue from sales taxes approved by voters.
These committees have repeatedly asked city staff for more specifics on how the city spends Measure E sales tax revenue and how the city spends Measure G sales tax revenue.
It would be helpful to the two committees if members of the public showed up for the meetings on Thursday, October 19 and spoke during public comment to support the committee requests for more detailed information.
The next meetings are on Thursday, October 19, 2023 in Downtown Salinas at the Salinas Rotunda, 200 Lincoln Ave., Salinas, CA 93901. (This is also where the city council meets.)
The Measure E Oversight Committee meets at 4:00 pm and the Measure G Oversight Committee meets at 5:00 pm.
